Don't Slow Down - March 13

“As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him. Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground.” 1 Samuel 17: 48-49

Success comes from taking the initiative and following up... persisting... eloquently expressing the depth of your love. What simple action could you take today to produce a new momentum toward success in your life? ~ Tonny Robbins

In 1 Samuel 17: 48-49, David defeated Goliath. The verse says David quickly ran out to meet him. He was prepared with his slingshot and his 5 smooth stones. He took out ONE STONE and hurled it or slung it at the giant Goliath. The momentum He had behind that one shot hit Goliath dead in the forehead and caused him to fall. God added His weight and David had unstoppable momentum!

In the story of David and Goliath, we see a powerful example of taking initiative and seizing the moment to create momentum toward success. David didn't hesitate or shrink back in the face of the giant Goliath; instead, he ran out to meet the challenge head-on. He was prepared with what he had, his slingshot and a stone, and he took decisive action.

Similarly, in our own lives, success often comes from taking the initiative, persisting in our efforts, and eloquently expressing our deepest convictions. Today, consider what simple action you can take to create new momentum toward success in your life. It may be a small step, but like David's single stone, it can have a powerful impact when propelled by determination and faith.

Prayer and Meditation:

Heavenly Father, thank you for the example of David, who faced his challenges with courage, determination, and faith in you. Help us to follow his example by taking initiative and persisting in our efforts toward success. Give us the wisdom to recognize the opportunities before us and the courage to act upon them. May our actions be guided by your Spirit and fueled by our trust in your providence. Grant us unstoppable momentum as we move forward in faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
