Why Love? - February 14

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19

"Love is not an emotion, it's a promise." - Unknown

Valentine's Day is often associated with expressions of romantic love, but its true essence lies in the celebration of love in all its forms.

Love is woven into the fabric of creation, reflecting the very nature of God Himself. As beings created in His image, we are wired for love and relationship. Love has the power to transform lives. It has the capacity to heal wounds, reconcile brokenness, and bring restoration. We are recipients of God's love and so we are called to be channels of His love to the world around us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, as we reflect on the question "Why Love?" on this Valentine's Day, we are reminded of Your unending love for us. Help us to understand the purpose and significance of love in our lives and to respond to Your call to love others as You have loved us. May Your love overflow from our hearts, touching the lives of those around us and bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
