Spiritual Maturity - February 21

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,  Hebrews 6:1

"The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose." ~ Myles Munroe

Spiritual maturity involves going beyond the surface level of our faith and delving into the deeper truths of God's Word. It requires a willingness to wrestle with difficult questions, explore complex theological concepts, and seek a deeper intimacy with God.

We are called to actively pursue growth in our walk with God, seeking out opportunities for discipleship, mentorship, and spiritual formation. Surrounding ourselves with mature believers who can challenge, encourage, and guide us in our journey towards spiritual maturity is essential.

Spiritual maturity is evidenced by the fruit it bears in our lives—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). As we grow in maturity, we become increasingly conformed to the image of Christ, reflecting His character and attributes to the world around us.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the call to spiritual maturity and the opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with You. Grant us wisdom and understanding as we seek to move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity. May our lives bear fruit that reflects the depth of our walk with You, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
