Growth Through Renewal - February 29
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16
"Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most." - Buddha
The apostle Paul acknowledges that outwardly, we may experience decay and difficulties in this earthly life. However, he emphasizes that inwardly, we are being renewed day by day by the power of God's Spirit. This reminds us that growth and renewal often occur in the midst of challenges and trials. Instead of being discouraged by our outward circumstances, we can take comfort in the fact that God is continually at work within us, transforming us to be more like Christ.
The phrase "day by day" emphasizes the continuous nature of the renewal process. It suggests that renewal is not a one-time event but a daily experience as we walk with God. Each day presents an opportunity for us to be renewed in our minds, hearts, and spirits through prayer, Scripture reading, and fellowship with other believers. As we abide in Christ daily, His Spirit works in us to bring about growth and transformation.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the promise of renewal that we have in Christ Jesus. Help us to trust in Your power to renew us day by day, even in the midst of challenges and difficulties. May we find hope and strength in Your presence, knowing that You are continually at work within us, transforming us to be more like Your Son. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Amen
