God's Boundless Love - February 9

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8

"God loves each of us as if there were only one of us." ~Augustine of Hippo

In 1 John 4:7-8, we encounter the foundational truth that God is love. This declaration unveils the very essence of God's character and nature. His love is not merely an attribute or action but defines who He is at His core. God's love is boundless, selfless, and unchanging, extending to all humanity without discrimination or reservation. It is the source and fountain from which all love flows.

In this month and beyond, allow His love to fill your heart afresh. Then purposefully extend that love to someone in need, whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a gesture of forgiveness.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the profound truth that You are love. Help us to grasp the depth, height, and breadth of Your boundless love for us. May Your love permeate every aspect of our lives and overflow to those around us, drawing them into Your loving embrace. Empower us to reflect Your love to a hurting world, that Your name may be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
