Genuine Love - February 17

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans 12:9-10

"When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed." Maya Angelou

Genuine love is not superficial or self-serving but flows from the depths of our hearts. It is a love that is authentic, honest, and steadfast. It emanates from the very core of our being. It is not masked by pretense or hidden agendas but flows freely and authentically.

Pause and reflect on the sincerity of our own love. Are our intentions pure, our actions genuine, and our hearts open to giving and receiving love without reservation?

This sincere love manifests in devotion to one another, fostering unity and mutual support, and in honoring others above oneself, reflecting humility and servanthood.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of genuine love, which reflects Your own divine nature. Help us to love sincerely, sacrificially, and unconditionally, following the example of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May our lives be a testament to Your love, bringing hope, healing, and reconciliation to a world in need. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
