Disciples of Love - February 7
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." John 13:34-35
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for o
thers?" Martin Luther King Jr.
Today, we focus on the profound teachings of Jesus in John 13:34-35, where He commands us to love one another as He has loved us. This love is not just a sentiment but a defining characteristic of our discipleship. This love is to be the distinguishing mark of His followers, revealing to the world their identity as disciples of Christ.
Let us strive to live in such a way that our actions speak louder than words, drawing others to Him through the transformative power of love. May our lives be living epistles of His love, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has shown us the way of love. Help us to live as His disciples, loving one another as He has loved us. May our lives bear witness to the transformative power of His love, drawing others into Your kingdom of love and grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
